GROWING TOGETHER:
ORCHARD TOWN CENTER + BUTTERFLY PAVILION
A partnership rooted in sustainability, education, and pollinator conservation.
A PARTNERSHIP FOR THE PLANET
Orchard Town Center has proudly partnered with Butterfly Pavilion, a world leader in invertebrate education and pollinator conservation, to bring nature and community together in a meaningful way. This unique collaboration is designed to support native pollinators, enrich the local environment, and offer visitors a living, learning experience.
EXPLORE THE POLLINATOR LOOP
Wander through our new Pollinator Walking Loop, where beauty and biodiversity meet.
- Featuring 8 vibrant pollinator garden beds, each thoughtfully planted with native flowers and grasses, the trail invites guests to enjoy and discover the vital role of pollinators.
- Interpretive signage along the route provides fun, educational facts for all ages, making each visit a chance to learn something new about the bees, butterflies, and insects that sustain our ecosystems.
Come for a stroll—leave inspired.
Science in Action – Bi-Annual Pollinator Surveys
Knowledge is key to conservation. That’s why the partnership includes bi-annual surveys to monitor pollinator visits and activity throughout the trail. Twice each year, experts from Butterfly Pavilion will gather data to track the health and diversity of the pollinators our gardens support—turning Orchard into a living lab that grows with nature.
Native Bee Houses – A New Home for Pollinators
As part of the initiative, Butterfly Pavilion has provided speciality houses for native bees. These will be installed throughout Orchard Town Center. These small structures play a big role, offering safe nesting spaces for solitary bees—key pollinators that often go unnoticed but do essential work in our environment.
Expert Care for a More Colorful Tomorrow
To ensure the health and success of this initiative, Butterfly Pavilion has provided specialized training to Orchard Town Center’s landscape team. These workshops focus on pollinator-safe landscaping techniques, including responsible planting, and maintenance—ensuring every garden bed is a pollinator haven.
